has seven named NGCA 2007-08 All-American Scholars

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla.
- The National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar
Teams for Division I, II & III were announced today with a
total of 402 women's collegiate golfers recognized with this
prestigious honor. Among that number, 56 were from Division
III, including seven from the SCAC. Marisa Mauldin, Victoria
Dominguez, Kristen Davenport and Delilah Dominguez of
Southwestern were selected as were Annie Mall of DePauw, Katie
Dale of Oglethorpe and Alexis Brent of Trinity.

Seven from SCAC earn invite to 2008 Best Buy Charity Classic
WOODBURY, Minn. -
The Southern Collegiate
Athletic Conference had seven women's golfers selected to
compete in the 2008 Best-Buy Charity Classic to be held at the
Prestwick Golf Club in Woodbury, Minnesota on June 27. Ali
Murtaugh and Kristen Kriegshauser of DePauw, Julia Gates of
Oglethorpe, Stephanie Mingos of Rhodes, and Marisa Mauldin,
Delilah Dominquez and Kristen Davenport of Southwestern all
received invitations to the prestigious event.

Duramed FUTURES Tour Division III All-Americans by the
National Golf Coaches Association on Wednesday and head coach
Dan Ruyle was named the Great Lakes Region Coach of the Year
at the NGCA Division III Awards Banquet held in Waterloo,
Iowa.

Rhodes' Mingos finishes fifth at NCAA Women's Golf

Iowa - Stephanie Mingos shot a 78 in the final round of
the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship to claim fifth
place and all-America honors. Susan Martin of Methodist shot a
73 in the final round to finish at 294 and earn medalist

Mingos two strokes off individual lead heading into final
round
WAVERLY,
Iowa - The Southwestern University women's golf team
closed out day three at the NCAA Division III National
Championship in Waverly, Iowa on Thursday in second place with
one round remaining. DePauw
University posted its best NCAA round in program history and
remained in third with a combined score of 945 - three shots
behind Southwestern. Rhodes' Stephanie Mingos is attempting to
become the first individual golf champion in SCAC history and
is just two strokes off the lead heading into Friday's final
round.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The NCAA
Division III Women’s Golf Committee announced 20 teams and 11
individuals that will participate in the 2008 NCAA Division III Women’s Golf
Championships. SCAC Champion Southwestern University along with
at-large selection DePauw University will compete in the NCAA
Division III Championships which take place May 13-16
at Centennial Oaks Golf Club in

On Sunday (Apr. 27) in
Danville, IN the SU women's golf team won the SCAC
Championship and junior Marisa Mauldin (Utopia, TX/Utopia HS)
won SCAC Golfer of the Year for the second straight year as
the team secured its berth to the 2008 NCAA Division III
National Championship in Waverly, IA.

The third Golf World/NGCA Division III Coaches’ Poll of
the spring season has been released, combining the resources
of Golf World magazine and the National Golf Coaches
Association (NGCA). The SCAC has three schools ranked in the
top 25 - led by Southwestern University at fifth. DePauw
University slipped to ninth, and Rhodes College re-enters the
rankings at 22nd. For the first time this spring, Trinity
University received votes in the poll.
